This Privacy Policy explains how SmartSpendr ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the SmartSpendr mobile app and related services.
Account information: such as your email address and basic profile needed to create and maintain your account.
User-entered finance records: transactions, categories, notes, and related data you add to the app.
App usage and analytics: limited technical and usage information that helps us understand how features are used and improve the app experience.
We use information to provide and operate the app, enable sync across devices, respond to support requests, personalize and improve features, and ensure reliability and security.
We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand general usage patterns, diagnose issues, and inform product decisions. Analytics are used to improve SmartSpendr; we avoid over-collecting and do not create profiles for advertising.
If you choose to use optional AI features, prompts and relevant context may be processed to generate responses. Do not include sensitive secrets in prompts. AI assistance is optional and provided to enhance your experience.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the app (for example, hosting and analytics) under appropriate safeguards, and when required by law or to protect rights and safety. We don’t sell personal information in the ordinary course of business.
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data; we will honor such requests where feasible and permitted by law.

SmartSpendr is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in these age groups.
